Fixed Center Co-Extrusion Crossheads

A fixed center model crosshead used to insulate 28 awg to 19 awg solid conductor telephone wire. Speeds of over 10,000 ft/m (2700 m/m) can be attained. This model is capable of extruding foam/skin, solid insulation and stripes.

Tri-Die Crossheads

The Genca Tri-Die model produces a wide range of products, including multi-layers for many material combinations…. with up to 5 layers and product diameters up to 1.5” (36mm).

Micro Adjustable Crossheads

Genca’s BMA, BNA and BAT are 3 micro adjustable crosshead designs that offer high precision centering for fine wire applications. Single and 2 layer extrusions with striping options are available along with spiral and multi-flow melt channel designs.

Fixed Center Crossheads

The 0510 Crosshead was designed specifically for product specific sleeving applications. Its maximum size is 0.5” (12mm) ID core capacity with a 1” (25mm) die ID allows for large draw down ratios.

Fiber Optic Crossheads (Patented)

Genca offers several models of fixed and adjustable center crossheads using our patented taper design. These crossheads are the simplest, cleanest and longest running crossheads on the market.

Product Features & Services

• All models of Genca Crossheads and In-Line Heads are available as fixed center or adjustable. Each is offered in stainless steel, high-temperature steel (Inconel) or high-strength tool steel (except the TRI-DIE). Other metals are available as specified. The metallurgy of all crossheads and in-line heads are controlled through heat treatment to obtain optimum life.
• All melt flow channels, including spiral, multi-channels or tapered, are precision designed and manufactured to obtain balanced flow over the full range of operation.
• Assembly/disassembly tool kits are available for all extrusion crossheads.
• All Genca Crossheads are assembled by Quality Assurance, checked for compliance to engineering acceptance specifications and certified in the User’s Manual.
• Genca also offers trade-in options on certain used crossheads and can rebuild Genca crossheads.
• Crossheads for products greater than 7” to 210” are available, but are manufactured on special order.
